Please consider providing us with feedback that will help improve pathway connections, public health and further beautification of community spaces.

The District of Mackenzie was awarded $50,000 as part of the Infrastructure Canada grant stream. A requirement of this grant is the creation of an Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP), which will provide an assessment of Mackenzie's current active transportation network, highlighting all barriers and accessibility issues while exploring options to increase network traffic. This plan will help the District of Mackenzie pursue grant opportunities and prioritize active transportation investment that is immediately impactful.

In addition to the Active Transportation Master Plan, and with remaining funds, staff are creating concept landscape plans with cost estimates for the Mackenzie Recreation Centre and 616 properties. This will improve planning for these areas and allow staff to begin applying for grants, with the ultimate goal of addressing issues with existing infrastructure and improve community gathering spaces through development of each space.

Information collected from the survey below will be part of an open house, where we will be unveiling concept plans and asking for additional feedback before taking to Council for final approval.

The survey will close Monday November 6th, thank you for your contributions!
