The primary purpose of the Downtown Vision and Action Plan (DVAP) is to provide a vision and roadmap for future land use and urban design in Downtown Mackenzie. The DVAP will include objectives, policies, guidelines and implementation priorities to guide the District and community in future decision-making and investment. Action Plans typically include topic areas such as Land Use, Transportation, Parks and Open Space, and Sustainability (e.g., climate action, stormwater management, etc.) and provide details on topics such as lighting, signage, public realm (e.g., benches, waste, recycling), and landscaping.
