Community Grants
The District's Community Grant Program is designed to provide financial and in-kind support to non-profit organizations dedicated to creating meaningful change. Whether you're focused on education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, social justice, or any other notable cause, we encourage you to apple and share your vision for a better community.
The first in-take for 2025 is now open! Applications must be submitted by September 15, 2024.
Eligibility: Open to registered non-profit organizations with a clear mission and goals aligned with community benefit
HOW TO APPLY:
Application forms can be submitted through our Let's Chat Mackenzie page or a fillable PDF can be found online, or picked up in person at the Municipal Office at 1 Mackenzie Blvd. Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4:30 pm.
Please either drop off applications at the District Municipal Office, or email them to Corporate Services.
Make sure to provide detailed information about your organization, proposed project, budget, and expected impact.
FUNDING CATEGORIES:
Rent Subsidy
By providing the District-owned and operated facilities at no charge for specific events.
Capital Expenditure
By providing cash grants or in-kind grants for capital projects. In recognition of the costs of these projects, the District may contribute up to 50% of the eligible costs of a project to a maximum of $2,000.
Special Project
By providing annual cash grants and/or in-kind grants for a one-time special or annual event, program or activity.
Fee-For-Service Agreement
By providing cash grants and/ or in-kind grants for on-going operational support. The District may consider entering into this type of agreement when the recipient is a not-for-profit organization delivering a service or program that extends the reach of District programs and services. The length of the agreement will not exceed three (3) years and all recipients shall provide reporting regarding service delivery as requested.
